Guide 2026
How to set up Kick donations in the UK
Kick already treats streamers well on its own features: it passes on 95% of subs and KICKs. What it does not offer is a way for viewers to send any amount they like, in pounds, without a Kick account. A tip link fills that gap. This guide shows how to set up Kick donations step by step, what each route leaves you and how to show tips and subs in one OBS alert queue.
At a glance
- Kick passes on 95% of subs and KICKs; a tip link adds any amount, in pounds.
- A Support panel in your About tab and a !tip command in chat.
- Kick follows, subs and gifted subs join your tips in one OBS queue.
- 3.5% per successful tip, no subscription; Stripe's fee comes off separately.
Set up Kick donations in four steps
- Create your free page on donolink.co.uk and connect Stripe for payouts in pounds.
- Add a Support panel with your link to the About tab on Kick.
- Add a !tip command to your chat bot.
- Connect Kick, add the alerts to OBS and send a test alert.
Subs, KICKs or a tip link: the three routes
A Kick sub costs a flat 5 US dollars a month and the streamer receives 4.75 dollars of it, gifted subs included. KICKs are Kick's own tipping currency: viewers buy them on Kick and send them in chat, and the streamer receives 95% of their value. Kick sets the prices and pays streamers through Stripe in their local currency.
Both routes are generous, so be clear about what a tip link adds. Subs and KICKs need a Kick account, KICKs are priced in US dollars, so a UK card converts the price, and subs only open once you meet Kick's requirements. A tip link lets anyone send any amount in pounds, from your very first stream.
What a £10 tip leaves you
On a £10 tip with a standard UK card, Stripe takes £0.35 and DonoLink £0.35, so £9.30 reaches you. That is a little less than Kick's 95% share, and the honest reason to add a tip link is reach, not price. Pay by Bank costs less at Stripe (0.5% + 20p) and cannot be charged back.
Viewers pay by debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, plus Pay by Bank and Revolut Pay once Stripe has activated them for your account. PayPal is coming soon.
Step 1: add a Support panel to your About tab
Open your channel on kick.com, go to the About tab and click Edit Panels. Add a panel with a title such as Support the stream, an image and your DonoLink link, then save it and check the result while signed out. Use the same page name as on Twitch or YouTube so viewers recognise it.
Step 2: a !tip command in chat
Not every viewer scrolls down to the panels. If you run a chat bot on Kick, add a !tip command that replies with your link, and ask your moderators to use the command instead of pasting links, so everyone sees the same official address.
Step 3: alerts for tips, follows and subs
Copy the alerts URL from your DonoLink dashboard and add it to OBS as a browser source, or let the wizard do it. Then connect your Kick channel: new follows, subs, renewals and gifted subs join your tips in the same alert queue, each with its own style. A goal bar, recent tips and a top supporters leaderboard are included; KICKs keep showing in Kick's own chat.
For viewers: how to donate on Kick
Viewers open the link in your About tab or chat, check your name and photo, choose an amount and pay. A tip needs no Kick or DonoLink account; subs and KICKs stay purchases inside Kick.

Frequently asked questions
How do I set up donations on Kick?
Create a DonoLink page, connect Stripe, add the link to a panel in your Kick About tab and to a !tip chat command, then connect Kick and add the alerts to OBS. It takes about one evening.
Is a tip link cheaper than KICKs?
No. Kick passes on 95% of KICKs, while a £10 tip with a standard UK card leaves you £9.30 after Stripe and DonoLink fees. A tip link adds any amount in pounds and no Kick account for the viewer.
Do Kick subs show up as alerts?
Yes. Connect your Kick channel and new follows, subs, renewals and gifted subs appear in the same alert queue as your tips.
Can I use the same link on Twitch and Kick?
Yes. One link works on every platform, and all tips land in one dashboard with one goal and leaderboard.
Do viewers need a Kick account to tip?
No. Subs and KICKs need a Kick account; a tip on your page does not. The minimum tip is £1.00.
